Why We Created StarLeaf

Our aim is to disrupt the conventional way of hiring finance talent.

StarLeaf Talent Solutions was born as a result of the pain points experienced by us as operating CFO’s in finding the right talent for critical roles within our finance teams.

Conventional Process:

The conventional process followed by our HR TA teams was:

1)     Job posting on Linkedin or other recruitment platforms

2)     Circulating the JD for the roles with a few empanelled placement agents. 

Common Pain Points:

  • In the case of Linkedin postings, we were inundated with a large volume of applications through Linkedin.
  • In the case of placement agency partnerships, we found that hiring consultants rarely understood the nuances of skill sets for diverse finance roles.
  • Placement consultants often failed to do any technical assessment. Often pushing a large number of CVs to finance and HR teams to evaluate.
  • There was no mentoring support or engagement with talent post-placement.

To sum up, we found ourselves grappling with a time consuming process that often yielded sub optimal placement matches.

The StarEves Initiative

Helping women finance professionals re-enter the corporate workforce after a career break

Men and women have to put it equal amount of effort to qualify as successful chartered accountants. However, it is observed that 50% of women CA professionals who join the workforce drop out and take career breaks necessitated by family commitments.

There are also many who have taken a career break and are now keen to get back and re-start their careers.
